I think this is a good book for a beginner of low-carb dieting or someone who wants to go back to the basics as I do. I like that there are shopping lists for the first 2 phases. I don't follow menu plans but I like that for the two weeks of the first phase, there is a plan with Atkins commercial products and another plan without any Atkins products (only foods that are found at any supermarket). All the recipes in the last section are suitable for phase 1 to 4. I'm eager to read her more recent book when it is available at the library.
