I read this book because I'm a huge fan of Gilmore Girls and Lauren Graham. After reading her autobiography in two days, it became quite obvious that Graham is not only likable and witty in real life but in her writing as well. I will seriously read anything she writes.

Someday, Someday, Maybe is a lighthearted fun read about the challenges of becoming an actress. The main character, Franny, is just as charming and witty yet clumsy and sometimes awkward as Lorelei herself. Plus the fact that it takes place in the 90's, with all its vhs and answering machine references, makes my heart happy.

Liked a lot. It was a quick easy read. Something that could be similar to a show I would watch where you know who Franny should be with but doesn't get with but may does, and want a sequel.

Competently written, rather predictable storyline. A decent light read.

I only read this book because it was written by Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls). The story was mildly entertaining and 100% predictable. An easy read but nothing special.

I rarely start a book and not finish it, but this one is one of them. I read 3 chapters and just couldn't relate to the main character. I love Lauren Graham as an actress (in Gilmore Girls and Parenthood), but now I think that she's just been playing herself in most of her work, so maybe she's not even a great actress?? I skipped to the end of the book and it just stopped in mid sentence, so I'm glad I didn't waste any more of my time on this book.

A fast enjoyable read of an actress struggling to make it in NYC. I imagine it was partially autobiographical or at least based on her own experiences when she started out.

The story is about a struggling actress on a self-imposed deadline, who is trying to make it as an actor in 1990s New York. It's a fun read. Graham really captured NY during that time period - loved the reference to the drug dealers in the parks with their whispered offerings, as I had the same reaction to them. Having heard Lauren Graham in various tv interviews, this book is definitely in her voice, and leaves the reader wondering how much truth is in this fictional novel.

Cute, heart warming, and inspiring story. I can definitely relate to Franny. Nice, quick read. I've been a fan of Lauren Graham's since Gilmore Girls. So if you're a fan, check out her book.

"The stage and screen star best known for her work in such series as Gilmore Girls presents the story of a struggling actress in 1990s New York City who searches for work and the perfect hair product while befriending a rival and resisting her father's pressure to get a "real" job."
