Discover the origins of the warrior Clans in this thrilling prequel to Erin Hunter's #1 nationally bestselling Warriors series

The sixth book in the Dawn of the Clans series takes readers back to the earliest days of the Clans, when the cats first settled in the forest and began to forge the warrior code.

After moons of strife, the forest cats have settled into five camps. But now the dangerous rogue Slash has kidnapped Clear Sky's mate, Star Flower, and made demands for prey that the cats cannot afford to meet. Desperate to save Star Flower, Clear Sky must convince the other groups--led by Tall Shadow, Wind Runner, Thunder, and River Ripple--to join forces, or their new way of life may not survive.

Also includes a sneak peek at the next Warriors series, A Vision of Shadows!

I loved this book the best one of Dawn of the clans. Some parts made me cry like the end how Gray Wing dies form breathing in smoke when there was a fire in the moors, and he dies right after Slate is mate had her kits. I loved it how Thunder finally found Violet to love after Star flower betrayed him. My favorite part of the book when star flower is captured and Clear sky has to rescue his mate and kits from Slash the rogue who took star flower and will only give her back if the clans each give him some of the prey they catch. I love how Erin hunter makes you feel like your there in the book. This book has excitement, sadness. Amazing book Erin hunter.

There's a lot of spoilers if you read Moth Flight's Vision first. Reading Path of Stars is better to start with. I had to learn this the hard way...

I knew Gray Wing dies thanks to Moth Flight's Vision. I read the super edition before Path of Stars. Gray Wing was already deceased in Moth Flight's Vision. Violet Dawn was already Thunder's mate also, and Willow Tail framed Red Claw for stealing WindClan prey. Willow Tail hated Red Claw because he drove dogs into the rogue camp and accidentally killed her sister. She dies when Clear Sky claws her eyes out in a fit of rage.

In Path of Stars it explains how the dogs destroyed the rogue camp in more detail. And there's little hints showing that Willow Tail has a disliking for Red Claw too.

I haven't read it yet, but I hear it's a good book. lol my friend wrote a book and was going to call it 'Path of Stars', but then she realized that this was already called 'Path of Stars', she changed it to 'The Star Trail'.

I wonder if they will do more books in this series as the warrior code has to be developed yet. I sure hope so! They got the Clan names now deciding to go from GROUPS to CLANS in the heartbreaking ending. I will say no more on that so I will not spoil it for those who may not have read it.

I am curious as to how many generations there are from when this series takes place to when the original series started. I wonder if they will do some sort of a lineage pictorial in one of the next books in this series to let us see that progression from the original CLANS to when BLUESTAR, TALLSTAR etc were the leaders of the clans.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!

This is an amazing book, as all of Erin Hunter's books are. I absolutely love how Thunder finally finds his true love, and gets over his heart-ache over Star Flower. :)
