Add a CommentGreat movie in my opinion. It was not disappointing to watch , and it was filled with plenty of action and good fight scenes. It was well developed and it is enjoyable to watch to the right viewer.
I have loved the squad since the 80's, but this is not the same thing. Some characters are very good in film interpretation, others not so well. Sound track of movie might very well be the best part.
The direction was awful as was the cinematography. The characters were awful. No shocker that Mnuchin produced it. The bad guys are black and Latino. The white guy is Erik Prince fantasy. The two females are white. Both are pathetic. Moon would be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen if she hadn't followed her career path and been possessed by an evil ugly witch with jungle fever. Her (possessed and resurrected) boyfriend is the stereotypical black criminal in the urban subway, done supervillain style. Harley Quinn is crazy but it's because of hormones. She's so in love with the grillz wearing Joker she dives into a vat of chemicals. The soundtrack was good. Will Smith did a good job, but why did he even take this role?
PS Forgot about Amanda Waller. A black woman, but also a crazier, more murderous psychopath than anyone else in the squad. Racist and misogynistic.
Not much going on other than Harley Quinn.
Sigh, another DC Comics movie that's all action and effects, no original storyline or characters. Am I asking for too much? Oh, and why do the male characters all come in different shapes and sizes, but the female characters all have to look like Victoria's Secret models and dress in tight, skimpy clothing? Maybe one day DC will enter the 21st century.
What were the professional critics talking about. Suicide Squad wasn't such a bad movie. Maybe, not the best superhero movie but doesn't deserve such harsh criticism. As long as it was entertaining which it was I have no problems with Suicide Squad. I hope the producers make a number 2. The only thing really surprising was the present U.S. treasury secretary, Steve Mnuchin, was the producer.
A lot more fun than I had expected. The story moved at a good pace. Though it has a great cast led by Will Smith, this is decidedly Margot Robbie’s movie. She stole every scene and nailed every line of dialogue.
OH GOOD LORD! I love the song in the credits twenty-one pilots is amazing! Heathens is my favourite song of twenty-one pilots and the music video is awesome! Tyler's voice is so amazing he can sing so well!!! P.S. I ship Joshler. l-/
All dolled up but the party's a bust. Lots of sizzling but little flavour.
Much time spent introducing with fanfare, a lineup of hyped-up badboys (and girl) but then forgot to make an exciting movie.
Only Will Smith's character (DeadHead, DeadBeat, BullBrain or whatever) has some of my empathy. The rest: nondescript throwaways.
Leto's Joker is really flat. Boomerang is annoying. Harley is over sexualized. I would have enjoy this more if the adversary was more familiar, but this one just felt like MTVed up Zule from Ghostbusters. It didn't suck, but it just could have been so much more.
