Sadly incomprehensible for the grunt-challenged.

The best of the new trilogy by far. Maybe a little less action oriented, and more psychological. The way the apes communicates, with most of them lacking the ability to talk, is incredibly expressive and layered. There are some very memorable and eloquent scenes where nothing is said in words. I also enjoyed the unfortunately relevant historical and political allegories, even though some of them weren't the most subtle. Still, this is one of the good middle-brow action films.

The usual Planet of Apes trilogy are all mostly good with creative story line- themes. The beginning moved at a glacial, slow pace but started to pick up after they found the 'mute', girl. It is again heavy violence told thru tragedy and killing of course. I really enjoyed the (2011) remake before this: 'The Rise of the Planet of Apes', when they attacked San Fransisco, California - that was really Great and well-done... so these sequels will continue....Enjoy... Thx.

A beautifully crafted film, with a profound message for humanity to ponder. The entire trilogy is very good, though this concluding episode is by far the most moving. Andy Serkis -- Caesar in these movies -- has perfected motion-capture, both as a technical innovator and as an actor.

Impressive movie; thought provoking. I saw it in 3D in the movie theater and I liked the 3D effect.

SWEARING... didn't notice any swearing in this movie from what I could remember. Just a pile of grunting throughout this movie. I don't know if they were swearing in the grunting language. Comment updated October 25, 2019
From this video and on I will be indicating how much swearing content is in each video at the start of each comment.
Saw this at the end of this movie..... "The making and authorized distribution of this film supported over 15000 jobs and involved hundreds of thousands of work hours"
I can't believe that 15000 people waisted their time and energy making such a stupid movie. Why brag that 15000 people put in hundreds of thousands of hours into this movie??? Must have been a bunch of zombies who actually went in unknowingly in theaters , thinking that this is entertainment. What a groaner of a movie. Watching this is equal to Swallowing 50 pounds of garbage lased with acid. And dark dark dark. Hard to make out what was going on most of the movie. Bunch of apes grunting. That was most of the dialog. grunting grunting grunting grunting grunting and more grunting. And a chimp that was starting to get use to the human language. He couldn't form his words right.
Of all the movies I rated here so far..... It was about as good as .. The Doomsday book. Can't understand why people rave about this movie

Good movie I enjoyed it. The actor who played Cesar should get an Oscar.

The Colonel: All of human history has lead to this moment. The irony is we created you. And nature has been punishing us ever since. This is our last stand. And if we lose... it will be a Planet of Apes.

Many quotes in IMDb including this opening narrative:

Fifteen years ago, a scientific experiment gone wrong gave rise to a species of intelligent apes and destroyed most of humanity with a virus that became known as Simian Flu.
"Rise"
With the dawn of a new ape civilization led by Caesar, the surviving humans struggled to coexist. But fighting finally broke out when a rebel ape, Koba, led a vengeful attack against humans.
"Dawn"
The humans sent a distress call to a military base in the North, where all that remained of the U.S. Army was gathered. A ruthless Special Forces Colonel and his hardened battalion were dispatched to exterminate the apes. Evading capture for the last two years, Caesar is now rumoured to be marshalling the fight from a hidden command base in the wood, as the war rages on.
