This is a well paced wonderful read. With 548 pages the book seems at first a bit daunting but the mystery keeps you alert and wanting more. The characters are interesting and relatable. You are drawn into to the story, you linger just inside the background. Highly reccomended.

At the beginning, there is a certain absence of clarity in the chronology. It may seem there is too much attention paid to the names of artists, arts, paintings. But as a whole - a great book, cleverly written with deep psychological aspect.

Loved this book, and absolutely love this author. His writing is so eloquent; he obviously doesn't try to dumn-down for the masses like so many others.
